Optometrist and Engineer

Hello, and welcome to Foresight Vision Care. I hope you are as excited as I am to start this new adventure. Most of you know, but in case you're new here, I am Jessica Dennis- Doctor of Optometry. Eyes are my passion. Helping people see is just scratching the surface of what optometrists do. Did you know the eye is the only place in the body you can see blood vessels without special testing? An eye exam can reveal diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, lupus, medication toxicities, multiple sclerosis, stroke just to name a few. Being an optometrist means not only helping people see, but also making sure there are no systemic diseases occurring in the eye which need to be addressed.

I am a Nevada native and attended the University of Nevada, Reno for engineering school. Then I ventured off to Chicago for Optometry school. As much as I liked Chicago, Reno (and the mountains) are home. In 2012 I started Foresight Vision Care, located in the Sparks Costco, where I had ten wonderful years. Unfortunately, over time our idea of good patient care did not align anymore. I believe in giving every patient a comprehensive eye exam, compromising quality care was not an option for me. Relocating Foresight Vision Care will allow me the opportunity to continue my passion for eyes and provide superior care.
